Would you like to jumpstart your online or offline business without spending a ton of money?

Without a doubt, joint venture marketing is the most powerful secret to making money online or offline.

In its simplest form, you partner with someone else: You either sell their product to your customer base or they sell your product to theirs.

The true power of this lies in the fact that it's much easier to sell a product to an existing customer, rather than going out and trying to get another customer.

Here's the twist:

What if you could use joint venture marketing without having a product, very little money, and little or no customer list?

Let's see what one of the foremost authorities on joint ventures has to say about this unique use of the joint venture idea ...

Marc Goldman is a world-class authority on joint venture marketing, building a website that ranks in the top 6,000 most-visited websites. That's quite an accomplishment considering the millions of websites in existence.

What's more important though is that he's been using joint venture marketing since his first day in business in 1994.

In a recent interview, he offered this simple formula to quickly profit from joint ventures.

(Note: To access Marc Goldman's complete audio interview for fre^e, see end of article)

You simply perform the role of a Joint Venture broker--you bring together partners who can add value to what the other party offers.

For a great online example of this technique, suppose you find a great product on the Internet that you love ...

You could hook up the owner with other Internet marketers who have an existing customer base, and get a commission from the sales.

If the product has a two-tier affiliate program, you simply sign up as an affiliate. You automatically get commissions from the sales of the marketers you convinced to promote the product (who sign up under you).

If you're hooking the product owner up with marketers who have a huge customer base, try to negotiate a higher commission than the normal second level commission.

If the product owner currently does not have an affiliate program, simply approach the owner--make a proposal to get a specific commission on any sales from the partners you bring to him.

Having purchased Marc's Joint Venture Brokering Mastery Seminar, I can testify to the effectiveness of his techniques.

The broker idea works equally well offline ...

Just one case in point:

I joined up an owner of three dilapidated rental houses who just wanted to get rid of them with someone who wanted to buy some land to build a gun shop. Each party got what they wanted and, at closing, I received a check for $8,835.92 ... definitely a nice commission for only several hours' work and no money down.

With that in mind, go out today, have your best day ever, and keep your eyes out for people who you can help by bringing them together with someone else who can help them.

Of course, make sure you remember to get your slice of the profits ...

If you've been involved in making money on the internet, you will no doubt have tried affiliate marketing at some point. For the uninitiated, affiliate marketing is the process of selling another person's product for a percentage of the product cost. This is a great way to get your internet marketing efforts up and running quickly and generate some instant profits, you can refer prospects to a sales page using Google Adwords within a few hours or by ezine advertising in a couple of days.

But although affiliate marketing is a great opportunity for quick profits it has several disadvantages, the biggest of which is that you don't get to keep all the money! This article is focusing only on information products so we'll ignore the measly 10 - 15% of offer for hard goods at online stores like Amazon etc, but even with info products the norm is around the 50% mark.

So ask yourself this ? why should you go to all the bother and expense of generating a sale when you only get to keep half of the money? Wouldn't you rather keep it all?

There is a way to keep 100% of your "affiliate" sales, by securing the resale rights to the product. If you own or have right to resell the product, you get to keep all of the money instead of having a large percentage of it deducted by the vendor.

Now doesn't that sound better?

There are several ways that you can obtain resale rights to all sorts of information products and packages. Firstly you could just do a search on Google or Yahoo for "resale rights" and "information" or "software". These will return a lot of results and you could uncover some good products that you can sell using this method. Watch out however for packages that are stuffed with tired old books that everyone's already read - nobody will buy these.

Then there's our old friend eBay. Again you may find the odd one or two new titles that you can buy and get resale rights to, but the vast majority of ebooks on sale at online auctions are very low priced products that have become devalued by being undercut by one vendor after another. You will not make very much money on products that are selling for 99 cents on eBay!

The only real way to make money with resale rights is to buy good quality, fresh, exciting products that are in demand. Make it your business to search out high quality top-end material that you can buy the rights for and you will be able to sell it for months and even years to come.

Choosing the right affiliate program is vital for your success. We don't want to end up with lemons, right? It is not advisable to invest time and effort into something that will not yield the best return for the energy expended.

In this lesson, we're going to learn how to distinguish an excellent affiliate program from a rather mediocre one. Yes, indeed. Not all affiliate programs are created equal. Some are simply better than others. Here are some things you need to think about if you are considering entering the affiliate marketing arena:

* How much is the commission rate being offered by the affiliate program? Ideally, you would want a high commission rate. Who wouldn't, right? But don't let this mislead you into thinking that a high commission rate is equal to a good home based business opportunity. An affiliate program that offers 80% commission per successful sale, for example, may also ask you to pre-sell products that aren't really sellable. What good is an 80% commission then when you won't have any sales to speak of? So this leads us to our next consideration?

* How sellable is the product? You could always ask for statistics from the affiliate program. Don't forget that. You could demand to see the sales chart for the past few months, so that you'd know that there are people who are actually willing to purchase the product. We can safely say that an affiliate programs offering high commission rates for very sellable products is an excellent opportunity.

* How credible is the affiliate program? There are many things that should be factored into this consideration. Determine how long the program has been operating. If they have been in existence for a long time with nary a complaint that can be seen, then they must be doing something right! Do a search on Google or online forums to check out other affiliates opinions of your prospective business partner.

* How will you get paid? This may be a little too prospective a thought, but you have to ensure the utmost viability of any money making opportunity. What payment method can you accommodate? Will the affiliate program be able to oblige to such method? If the affiliate program pays its affiliates through PayPal exclusively, for example, and you're living in a non-PayPal territory, then you might encounter some problems. Ask the affiliate merchant if he could make some considerations for your case. More often than not, he will try to accommodate your request. If he can't, then your time would be better spent with an affiliate program whose payment you would actually receive.

If the above considerations are all favorable for you, then grab the said opportunity as quickly as you can. Start earning money right away, for time is gold in this business!

In the next article, we're going to discuss the proper steps you should take in starting out with this type of home based business opportunity.

When I started my internet marketing career, I knew that in order to succeed online I had to duplicate what my mentors were doing.

I had read several popular ebooks at that time, written by marketing gurus, and each of them explained how to research niche markets in order to find out what products to create or sell.

But right in front of me, staring me in the face were ebooks that I had bought. So I thought to myself, if this guru wrote this ebook and sold a copy to me, then obviously the best thing for me to do is to create an ebook to sell!

Boy was I wrong, and I'm glad I never wrote that ebook to start my career. Do you know how many $20 ebooks you would have to sell in order to make your first $10,000? 500 sales! That's right, you have to make 500 sales just to clear $10k.

Now don't get me wrong, ebooks have many important purposes including lead generation and viral marketing, but when you are just starting out and need cash flow, you might be better off saving the $20 ebook project until you've built up your following.

And now for the secret you don't often hear about from the gurus!

You need to sell high-ticket items!

Let's say instead of the $20 ebook you decide to sell a product that gives you a $1000 commission. How many sales do you have to make to reach your $10k goal? Just 10!

And remember, as long as you have a great offer, it isn't much harder to sell a big-ticket items than it is to sell a lower-priced item.

Now think of one more important point. Think of all the time you would need to spend supporting 500 customers vs. 10 customers. I don't know about you, but I would rather focus my energy on just 10 customers each willing to pay me $1000 each!

Have you ever wondered why the gurus put on so many seminars? They like to go for the big kill! Many seminars charge upwards of $2,000, $5,000 or more. When you do the math, it isn't hard to see that $50,000 is pretty easy to make when you are selling $5,000 products.

So, if you racking your brain trying to figure out what products to promote next, follow these 3 simple guidelines in order to narrow it down:

1. Focus on 1 or 2 products to promote at first so you don't get overwhelmed.

2. Make sure the products are ones you believe in. Don't let great sales copy from mediocre product talk you into joining the affiliate program. You may be putting a lot of effort into something that might only pay miniscule commissions!

3. Look for hot-selling items that carry a high price tag. Getting just a few sales of these big-ticket items can make you thousands!

Author Kent Thompson can help you find some big-ticket products to promote. Find out how you can make $1000 or $3200 per sale without hardly lifting a finger! Check out http://whoiskentthompson.com

If you have been looking around the internet for a while in search of ways of making money you cannot fail to have seen the words "join our free affiliate program" - probably followed by something about making thousands of dollars a month!

If you are like me you were a mixture of skeptical, intrigued, excited and also thinking "could this work for me?" Well to cut a long story short I was looking to work from home at the tail end of 2004 due to ill health and was surfing the net to find a work from home business. I kept seeing these adverts for affiliate programs but had never heard of them in my life. To say I was a newbie was a massive understatement!

I decided to find as much as I could about them and everything I needed was online. I soon discovered Google Adwords and pay per click as a way of promoting my programs and also found Clickbank.com, Commission Junction.com (cj.com) and Tradedoubler.co.uk as "libraries" of thousands of products to promote.

I then tried to learn all I could about how to promote on Google Adwords and also how to research the market place. I cannot stress how important this point is! It is vital to find a market BEFORE you find your product. I tried to promote many things I thought were great products before I realized it was not what I thought would sell that mattered! It is what people are looking for that is important.

You may have heard the term "Niche Market" and this is what you are searching for - a niche that may not have a huge number of potential buyers - but that has a large enough group of people who are very HUNGRY to buy your products. It is your job as an affiliate to target these people as accurately as possible.

There are many different e Books out there that will help you learn how to do this. Using the Overture search tool is an excellent way of finding popular searches and Niche Markets.

You can also promote affiliate programs through your own sites and this is the way to really generate those huge incomes you read about - but it can be a huge learning curve! Don't worry however as there are lots of good programs out there that will teach you step by step how to do this. The best I have come across is the Incredible Wealth Building System (see below)

As I said before I started as an affiliate just less than a year ago and now make my living full time - it can be done - but.....

You must put in the time, effort and, yes, money to prepare yourself. And you must research, research and research some more the market place! This is not money for nothing but it is definitely a business you can succeed in if you do your homework and are prepared to learn from those who have succeeded before you.

Best wishes for your financial future!

Everyone knows that affiliates can make or break a company's success rate. Ken Evoy has a whole army of people motivated to earn click-through commissions on his Site Sell program. Marlon Sanders and Yanik Silver have made fortunes with (and for) their affiliates.

"If you've got an e-commerce website," I was frequently told by my internet savvy friends, "you have GOT to have an affiliate program." I took that to heart. "Ok!" I said, and when I created www.ArticleMarketer.com, I made sure that I developed a compelling offer for affiliates.

So what's the nightmare? Here I had created the perfect program for affiliates and what kind of results was I getting? None. Nada. Zilch. A big fat zero. There was no lineup of affiliates banging at the door.

Has this happened to you? Is your affiliate program going nowhere? Here is the step-by-step analysis of what makes an affiliate program take off, and how my results were impacted by each one.

Offer a good deal ? make it worth their while

Affiliates will not promote your product because it "feels good". An emotional payoff might be sufficient for non-profit organizations or political campaigns, but that's not enough in the cold, hard world of e-commerce. Affiliates are looking for products and services that quickly convert to sale.

Affiliates don't mind pre-selling your goods to their lists and visitors, but you have got to make it worth their effort. Don't be cheap. Give your affiliates a good deal. Unless you're selling Lear Jets or Rolls Royces, that 5% commission you are thinking about isn't going to get anyone excited about being your representative.

How did I fare against this point? I nailed it. I made sure to offer 50% commissions and a lifetime customer program. Residual and recurring revenue are automatic. For any customer that one of my affiliates sends to my site, they get paid. Not just on the first sale either. They get paid every time that person spends money, renews a subscription, or buys something else.

But evidently that was not enough. I had my program set up to offer a good, profitable deal for affiliates. So I moved to the next point:

Provide personal service ? be responsive

Affiliates are your business partners, not cattle to be herded. Treat them with respect, provide them with the tools they need to be successful, and be responsive when your affiliates ask for help, guidance or tools. In the end, it will make things better for you. Make sure you take care of your affiliates.

Well I am a naturally outgoing guy, so I have a tendency to reach out to customers, partners and business associates. It's just who I am. I like people. I send email, write articles, post in the blog ? I'm a communicative guy. I've got my phone number on the site, and I personally answer my phone. So personal service couldn't be my problem. But still, why weren't people signing up to be affiliates? I moved on to the next point:

Why You?

It's likely that you're not the only company offering the chance to sell a product or service like yours. Give your prospective affiliates a reason to choose your program over your competitor's. Do you do it faster, better, cheaper? Why is it going to be easier and more profitable to sell for you than for someone else? Why do you deserve their attention? Why do you deserve the attention of their visitors?

With 20 years of direct sales under my belt, I certainly know how to craft a presentation to crush my competition. I put direct comparisons to other article submission services right on my home page. I created an instructional video to make it easy to submit articles. Audio prompts explain every step of the way. I have a long listing of places that articles are submitted. There is no reason someone would want to do article submission on their own (because it's tedious) or with any of my competitors (they don't have the reach, and their prices are exorbitant) so I knew that there was no problem in this area. So I moved on to the final point.

Promote! Promote! Promote!

You have to be as diligent in promoting your affiliate program as you are in promoting your products. You have to let people know that you've got a great deal for them. You must let people know that you have an affiliate program, you must provide tools, banners, graphics, articles, ads, and links that they can use to drive traffic to your site.

This was my problem. I was suffering under a "If you build it, they will come" delusion, and it almost killed my response. I didn't even know how hidden my affiliate link was, until I had a conversation (remember, I'm a talkative guy) with a new affiliate. She was an existing customer. She had been to the site, pored over it, in fact, and had asked questions. She had used our services, so when I asked her what prompted her sudden interest in joining the affiliate program, I was shocked by her response. "I didn't even know you were set up for affiliates until I read it Michael Campbell's Internet Marketing Secrets newsletter. (www.internetmarketingsecrets.com) When I saw that he was telling people how great your service was, I said, "Hey, I can do that!"

So it wasn't until I started promoting the service that I discovered how important it is to promote the affiliate program as much as it is to promote the article submission service itself. To ensure that it's easy to find, I have moved the affiliate link on my site. It's now prominently displayed right in my main navigation and clearly marked "Become an Affiliate".

I hope that you'll take this story to heart and implement these four techniques. Start by adjusting your program, make sure you talk with your customers, check your value proposition, and then begin trumpeting your affiliate program from the rooftops. You'll see a quick improvement in your affiliate sign ups!

Online affiliate marketing is one of the most effective, cheapest and fastest ways to promote merchandise. With millions of people getting access to the Internet everyday, there's a great chance for a merchant to introduce his products and services to a wider market, thereby, maximizing his revenue.

Likewise, affiliate marketing is an excellent way to generate full-time income for a home-based affiliate marketer. For someone who is jaded of going through a grueling eight-hour work routine, affiliate marketing offers a great opportunity to earn big without wearing himself out-physically, mentally and emotionally.

In affiliate marketing, both parties are benefited since as the merchant earns from each item sold, the marketer likewise earns a commission.

If you are interested in affiliate marketing but are finding it hard to look for affiliate programs, affiliates or merchants, you can start by checking sites of various affiliate networks. Many affiliate programs in the Internet are being offered through an affiliate program network, which acts as a link between the merchants and individual affiliates.

Among the most popular is LinkShare, it is through it that merchants and affiliates meet. LinkShare maintains and manages affiliate marketing programs for a great number of merchants with various kinds of businesses, products and services. It also has over 6,000 affiliate site members in its network. It gains profit from the set-up fees, monthly account maintenance fees and commissions.

Joining networks like LinkShare can be of great help in establishing your online marketing business. Whether you are a merchant or an affiliate marketer, you need to research well on your partners in order to choose the best for you.

LinkShare provides the facility of acquiring access to a large network of advertisers (merchants) who offer their affiliate programs to publishers (affiliates) who are willing to promote their products. In the same manner, it gives the merchants access to a large network of affiliates who are searching for affiliate marketing opportunities.

LinkShare is especially beneficial for an affiliate in choosing his partners since he can find his options all in one location. It would be easier for him to compare products, commission rates and other benefits given by the merchant. The merchant usually just waits for interested affiliates to sign up in his affiliate marketing program but being in the network increases his chance to promote his products to a larger market, thus, maximizing his potential to gain huge profit.

To help you decide whether to use large affiliate networks such as LinkShare or not, let us try to look deeper into its positive and negative sides. The primary advantage of LinkShare to you as an affiliate is convenience.

As earlier mentioned, you find different pieces of information about your choices simultaneously all in a single location, so you save time and effort looking for affiliate programs or merchants.

It's also easier to track your business partner's performance through monthly reports and statements, as well as its sales and commission rates, so you know whether the affiliate program is still worth continuing. If you have signed up for several affiliate programs, you can check all your statistics for each merchandiser you are affiliated with by logging in just once.

LinkShare helps you manage and maintain all records of your visitors' click-throughs and sales transaction. It takes care of your commissions and gives it to you monthly in lump sum. Especially when you have more than one merchant partner, it would be easier for you to manage your accounts and track your earnings when you are affiliated through a marketing program network. Furthermore, every information you get is accurate and secured, so you are protected from all the risk you might encounter. Above all, you can enjoy LinkShare's benefits for free. You just have to go to their site and register your website. Instantly, you get access to a great variety of affiliate programs available for you.

So, what's on the negative side? Although, it is indeed helpful to join affiliate marketing networks such as LinkShare, there are some disadvantages, too.

For one, merchants offer lower commissions to affiliates who partner with them through the third party program network. This because they still have to pay for the use of service and the technology provided by LinkShare.

Direct partnership with the merchant cuts costs of advertising through the network and so the affiliate has bigger potential to earn more. Moreover, it is possible that your payment may be delayed for a month or more since program networks would pay you only after the advertiser or the merchant has paid them.

Do you need to use LinkShare or other networks? It depends, actually. You can opt for direct partnership with the merchant, but this choice is not applicable all the time. There are a lot of merchandisers who offer their affiliate program only through affiliate program networks and thus, you have no choice other than joining the network to get into the affiliate marketing program.

So you are faced with "take it or leave it" situation. But LinkShare and other program networks are not that disadvantageous. After all, whether you join it or not, earning big would depend more on your promotional strategies and persistence.

Affiliate marketing is a large business in the internet today that involves a partnership between a merchant and one or more affiliates, in which the affiliates advertise or promote the merchant's product and services free of charge until a customer is gained.

Then, a part of the profit received by the merchant from that customer will be given to the affiliate as commission. This is reason why the relationship between the merchant and the affiliate is aptly called revenue sharing partnership.

Affiliate marketing has also been recognized as the most ideal way for merchants to sell more products in the internet as well as for webmasters or affiliates to gain an income from their own website. Here, the affiliate usually gets a commission for passing on clicks, sales or leads to the merchant's website. For merchants, affiliate marketing is one of the best internet marketing businesses. It is because in this business, you don't have to take any risk; no payment is due to an affiliate until results are delivered.

But since it is already a widespread online business, you need to work hard to make yours stand out. Whether you are an affiliate, an affiliate network, or a merchant, you need to discover some secrets that will take you on the road to affiliate marketing success. And that's exactly the reason why this page is created; to help you find out the big secret on how to grow your affiliate marketing business.

Of course, you need to work really hard to achieve your goal, which is to gain more profit out of your affiliate marketing business. If you're a merchant, you need to pour much effort in order to catch the attention of professional affiliate marketers.

Likewise, if you're an affiliate, you have to persevere in finding out some ways on how to increase your commissions. Also, to turn your marketing business into a success, you need to manage it the right way. Proper management will not only make your business grow but also make all the effort and time spent worth it.

For the affiliates:

So your goal is to make your affiliate marketing business grow and it exactly means making more money from your business and increasing your affiliate income, right? Well, there are a handful of ways to boost your money making experience online.

First, consider putting several merchants in the same niche; it will provide the guests in your site an array of destination to choose from. Through this, you can find out what your site visitors want and it can also help you discover the performance of different merchants when placed head to head.

If you're not doing this before, try to do it now - involve yourself in chat rooms and message boards related to the product you are reselling. This is one of the smartest ways to boost your affiliate income. As you start a conversation, try not to sell first; do it later on if you already established a relationship. Bring up the product you are reselling and if necessary, mention the benefits that your new friend can get out of that product.

Indulging yourself in making a free ebook with advertisement and links to your affiliate website could also help. Make sure that the subject and the content of the free book are written to compel and encourage your target audience to download it. Also, consider submitting this free ebook to some of the numerous ebook directories. These directories can help you gain more customers as they are always in a hunt for fresh content for their readers.

Why not make your own affiliate program directory? This is also another helpful method in making your affiliate marketing business grow. It's just like you're having your own "search engine" within your website. You can participate in a large number of affiliate programs and have them all listed in a directory format on your site. After that, just advertise and promote your free affiliate program directory.

You definitely don't have an edge over other competitors if you are using the same ads that all other affiliates are using. Make yours stand out by writing or making your own affiliate program ads. Using a unique and original ad will surely give you a big advantage over the other affiliates.

Then, try to advertise the product you are reselling using your own signature file. Have a catchy and attention-getting headline and give your readers a good reason why they should visit your affiliate site. Just make sure that your sig file doesn't exceed 5 lines.

You know web ring, right? Join in to the one that draws the audiences that you think would be interested in purchasing the product or services that you are reselling. It will also allow you to trade links on your own with other related websites.

It is also advisable to participate on web discussion boards. Search in for those that are associated to your field and feel free to post your comments, answer questions thrown by other people and raise your own question. Under each message you post, don't forget to incorporate your affiliate link text.

Make a free ezine or newsletter. You can use them to advertise the affiliate programs that you've joined. Don't forget to promote your ezine on your own website, then ask your site guests to sign up for free. Submitting it to online Ezine directories will also work.

Starting your own private website can also be very helpful. You can use it as a free bonus for people who bought the product you resell. Here, you could allow your visitors to join for free and you could also advertise the affiliate program you've participated in.

These are just few ideas that other affiliates are using to make their affiliate business grow. Try it and see how it works!

4. Can you view your account on a regular basis to see how the

program is doing?

is in the agreement.

There are literally thousands of affiliate programs on the Net. Here are eight important points that every affiliate webmaster should take into account when choosing a reliable and profitable affiliate program. How to choose a reliable and profitable affiliate program

With literally thousands of different online affiliate programs, ranging across hundreds of different categories, it's not difficult to see how one may become discouraged when it comes to choosing the best and most profitable affiliate programs out there. After all, since one is going to be investing a considerable amount of time, money and resources to design, build and promote the site, then one would naturally want to ensure its success by joining and promoting the most reliable and profitable affiliate programs available.

When it comes to choosing a reliable and profitable affiliate program, keep in mind the following points:

(1) How long has the business been operating?

If the business/site has been operating for a considerable amount of time, then it's likely that it is fairly stable and profitable, otherwise it would not be in business. Be careful of sites and affiliate programs that spring up overnight. It is always a good idea to monitor such affiliate programs for a while before joining them, just incase they disappear as fast as they have appeared.

(2) Who else is promoting the affiliate program?

Try to find out who else is promoting the affiliate program. Visit the websites of your competition and see if they are promoting the affiliate program that you are thinking of joining. If you find a super affiliate promoting the affiliate program, then chances are that it is a profitable program to join, otherwise a super affiliate would not be promoting it at all.

(3) How much traffic is the website receiving?

Popular, successful and profitable websites receive a considerable amount of traffic. If the site you are thinking of promoting is not very popular, successful or profitable, then chances are that it will have low traffic and therefore may not be worth promoting. Check the alexa.com traffic rank of the site.

(4) What is the commission structure?

Does the program offer the affiliate webmaster a percentage of the sale, or a fixed amount per sale? Is the commission payment recurring? Is it a one tier or multi tier program? The most profitable programs offer a revenue share income. This means that the affiliate webmaster will receive a percentage of the money which the customer spends. For example, if the affiliate program offers a 50% revenue share commission, and the affiliate webmaster sells a product for $50, then the affiliate webmaster's payment should be $25. Profitable programs also offer recurring payments for the life of the customer's membership. In other words, if the customer continues to pay $50 per month for his/her membership, then the affiliate webmaster who referred that customer should receive $25 per week until the customer cancels his/her membership. Finally, a multi-tiered affiliate program is usually more profitable than a single tiered affiliate program because it enables an affiliate webmaster to generate income from the efforts of another webmaster whom he/she referred to the affiliate program.

(5) Read reviews about it.

Try to find as many reviews about the affiliate program as you can. The affiliate program may look and sound very attractive until you find a string of negative reviews from its former affiliates warning others not to join it for one reason or another.

(6) What is the support department like?

Do the support staff answer queries promptly? Are they fast, friendly and helpful? Test the affiliate program's support staff by asking them a few questions about the program.

(7) Do the statistical reports work?

Be weary of statistical reports that do not update. Find out how often the statistical reports are updated. Test your links by clicking on them yourself and seeing if they register in the statistical report.

(8) Minimum commission payment

Some affiliate programs require an affiliate webmaster to generate a minimum commission amount before receiving payment. This is fair enough since it would not make much sense to send an affiliate webmaster a check for a few cents when it would cost more to write, send and process the check. However, find out what the minimum commission payment is before you join.

There are a number of other things that one can look for when searching for the most reliable and profitable affiliate programs available, however, these are the main and most important points that every affiliate webmaster needs to pay attention to.

If you are one of the 98.6% of affiliate members that never make one cent from affiliate sales or make small $5.00, $10.00 commissions, then this article is for you. Even if you are making nice checks, this will interest you.

You really can start to make affiliate sales in 15 minutes with Google Adwords.

Your ads will start appearing with 15 minutes for the keywords you have selected. If this has you scratching your head :o) I don't blame you. I was totally new to Adwords until I read about Chris Carpenter's experience in making $3,405 with just one ad in his very good ebook

You know those ads on the right side of the page of Google's search page? Well those are Adwords. You pay per click with the minimum at .05, which is less than Overture's .10 PPC. Placement of your ad is based on two factors, the Cost Per Click and your ad's Click Through Rate (CTR).

I have set my maximum CPC to .06 and the daily budget $5.00 until I see that the keywords I've selected are working and the affiliate program is making sales. To cut through a lot of learning curve you should find a niche keyword with Good Key Words or Word Tracker. The first is free and the second has a free trial. You canAlso get some high paying Adword keywords (some Keywords pay $up to $80 per click!

The other is a software tool, Adword Analyzer.

It will find a list of related keywords, the number of searches per keyword and the number of advertising campaigns per keyword. Boy, do I love this software! I enter a keyword, say, mortgage, and it gives me all of the above in minutes. So you can find high traffic search terms that no one is buying Google Adwords for. Another use is to identify niches that are too competitive to enter. As you can imagine it will save money, time and most importantly find the search terms that you line up an affiliate for and start making money in minutes.

You see, that is the very essence of success with any affiliate program, finding a product that is hot, has little or no competitionand developing an ad campaign for it.

The strategy that I use now is to find high paying keywords, buy a domain name with that keyword in it, create a simple landing page, add three Google Adsense ads (they allow up to three per page and don't forget to create Adsense channels for tracking) then I optimize the page with the keyword in the title, spread throughout the body (top, middle and bottom), add articles for content to other pages and create a new Adwords campaign to get some traffic started.

Then I will either buy or request reciprocal links from high relevant websitesWith PR4 and above. You buy links with PR5 and above for a reasonable amount.Do a search for Then watch my Adsense income build!

Google loves relevant content on your site or sites linking to it.

Another way to get listed in the top 10 or Google is writing articles. This is another article coming soon!

With Google Adwords you can get click-throughs within minutes and if targeted to the right prospect, sales in minutes.

Link bypassing is the number one trap affiliates fall into online. Also known as the "affiliate links theft". This "piracy" costs hard working affiliates promoting programs both time AND money. First, let's do some simple math if you please:

Say that you are a beginning affiliate. Your income may be $100 per month. Does this sound reasonable to you? It is an example anyway...

So, referring to the study case, you may be losing 100 x 0.30 = $30 per month in sales.

This is $30 in pure loss Each and Every month that's passing by without you protecting your links.

Or, let's say you are an active "power charged" affiliate. In this case, your income might reach $2000 per month.

Your loss in sales is 2000 x 0.30 = $600 per month. Hmm...

Finally, let's suppose you are one of those "super affiliates"! Your monthly income is at least $10.000. Let's do the math again.

Your loss is 10000 x 0.30 = $3000 each month! Ouch!

Get the picture now? It is up to you to estimate your own losses -- I don't mind if you send me your stats. So I can do the math for you ;-)

Seriously. You know how harmful "link theft" is for any affiliate, I have to tell what exactly it is.

So. What Is Exactly "Link-Bypassing"?

You definitely know that your earning commission is in the link you have received from the owner of the affiliate program -- a.k.a the merchant. In other words, you get your money when you make a sale - Assuming you have joined a "pay-per-sale program". And precisely, you earn money when your visitor 'clicks' on your own link and make the purchase!

Right?

If done properly, the visitor hits your link. A cookie (or any other tracking system) will be deposited in their computer. After that, the merchant program rewards you as the sale referrer. So your account is credited immediately. And you receive an e-mail telling you that you have just earned a commission. Fair you said!

Well, that's the best scenario.

"Link-bypassing" happens when the visitor knocks at your website and notices the service you are promoting. And then she figures out the service "home URL" and specifies it into the web browser's address bar directly...

In this case, no cookie was deposited in the prospect's computer. And that means NO referrer... So YOU get NO MONEY.

Huh!?!

You Have Just Been Bypassed!

Unfortunately, this happens everyday and it will continue for the years to come because most of the marketers are not aware of it. Note that this also applies to referring 2nd-tier affiliates. As people want to be at the top of the tree. And they just don't want to be another member in the downline. Even if it is fair because you worked hard to achieve that!

Am I right?

Don't get me wrong, "link-bypassing" may be the consequence of a deliberate action of a pirate. But it may also be an innocent action from a curious prospect. It is a fact, curiosity is a human nature. And you, as an affiliate in the Internet, you have to work with it!So if you please, let me take you by the hand, and show you how you can deal with link theft.

How Can "link-bypassing" Be Possible?

Because the link you receive when you join an affiliate program may look like one of these:

http://www.site.com/page.cgi?username=yourID
http://www.site.com/?YourID
http://site.com/index.php?referrer=yourID
http://site.com/index.php?sponsor=yourID

All of the affiliate links listed above have got a flaw.

Here it is. Your ID number (or username) is clearly mentioned and the merchant website is quite obvious! Right? The average visitor can figure out the merchant website easily. And this is not good news.

In fact, the status bar from the web browser shows the URL link when the mouse cursor is pausing over your affiliate link. And it's at the reach of a "Copy & Paste" operation.

Here is the solution...

The alternative to this, is to add a piece of HTML code to your affiliate link. Actually, it should include this code inside:

onMouseOver="window.status='';return true"

You can see my website for more details.

What have we done so far? The web-browser's status bar will remain empty to protect the URL. Okay, that is a good one!

But there is still another dirty trick to get access to your affiliate link. Here it is:Visitors can open the context menu from your link and hit the "Properties" command. Form there, a dialog box would appear and tell them your exact URL :(

And there is even another way to your affiliate link: Viewing the source code of your web page...

But, the most important thing to keep in mind is this:

In a "link-bypassing" case, you (the affiliate) are the ONLY losing part in the transaction! Because the merchant gets the payment in full and the customer receives the product he/she has paid for. BUT your commission is simply discarded... Will you continue to stand there and take it?

Don't you think it's time to take action and get your share of the profits you deserve?

Paid to surf sites are washing across the Internet like a tidal wave. As powerful waves settle, new sites pop up out of the foam like tiny islands. But are you likely to get beached with Gilligan and the Crew, or end up on Fantasy Island with Mr. Roarke and Tattoo?

The answer depends on which ones you decide to trust.

If you're not familiar with them yet, then you're probably new to the Internet. Either that or something terrible has happened to your computer, your cable has been cut off, or there has been some strange mishap with your phone line...for the last 2 years.

But not to worry, the paid to surf site is not the Bermuda Triangle and can be easily navigated.

1) You register.

2) You upgrade. (Paid to surf sites don't use the word "invest" for legal reasons...but most members consider their upgrades to be investments.

Your upgrade is based on how much you want to earn each day. The top paid to surf site pays up to $750 per day on your upgrades).

3) You surf. (You are paid a percentage of your upgrade each day that you surf a set number of sites).

and

4) You get paid. (Unless you've been stranded on Gilligan's Island; and as you may know, Gilligan's lovable, but his ship never comes in.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of Gilligan's Islands out there. That's why it's important to make sure your vessel is sea worthy and there are no adverse weather reports. But how do you inspect your craft? And where do you go for a weather report?

Well, tighten your life vests, the Coast Guard has come to the rescue!

The first thing you should do is visit the site's forum. If there isn't a forum, what is the administrator afraid of? Stay away. If there is a forum, what do the members say about the site? What "aren't" the member's saying about the site? If the forum seems to have been shut down...no recent posts...no new threads...then there's rough seas ahead, me matey. Sail on.

Next, it's a good idea to search for problems at scam sites. There are 2 good options below:

1) http://www.ripoffreport.com (I think this one is the best).

2) http://www.scam.com (There's quite a bit of shameless self-promotion at times, but it's a good site).

There are a couple of things to consider when doing a search for scams:

1) Just because it's not listed, that doesn't mean it's not a scam. Many people don't know about these resources.

and

2) Just because it is listed, it doesn't necessarily mean that the program is a scam; however, if you find that there are dozens of complaints about a particular company...sailor beware. If there are only one or two complaints...it could be a case of a pirate with an ax to grind. Take the complaint with a grain of sea-salt.

Next, check out everything at the site. The FAQ is important, but you also want to check if the site has a backup plan. Is there a safety net?

Some examples would be:

1) Is the site diversified? Is it backed up by other programs?

2) Does it have a reserve fund?

3) Does it have its own payment processor? This is a big plus.

4) Does it allow you to make a lot of money in a short period of time but isn't backed up by other programs? Then it's probably a sinking ship.

5) Does it have a good record? or is it new? New sites aren't necessarily bad, but they can be risky.

6) Look for professionalism in the site. If there are lots of misspelled words and grammatical errors...that's not a good sign. (If there are only one or two...it's okay. It may bother you...but it's okay). This does not apply to member testimonials by the way. Those are usually published as is...and some of them can be pretty appalling.

7) How many members does it have? The more the better.

8) How much has been paid in through the member's fees? The more the better.

If the site passes up to this point, then go ahead and join as a free member. The next test will be the member's area. Once you get into your member's area, look for any administrative posts that may be there. Are they saying things like: "We've almost got the server problems fixed." or "We should be able to start paying members again soon." or "We seem to have gotten the DDOS attack under control." If you see any of the above...log out.

(I do have to add one thing to the above...scheduled server maintenance is okay).

Now if the site passes everything, give it a whirl.

Just remember the golden rule of investing (I mean upgrading). Never invest (upgrade) more than you can afford to lose.

Affiliate Marketing is a very lucrative business online, especially where it concerns Affiliate Internet Marketing.

Today I bring you some rare and everyday mistakes that are keeping you from making a killing with affiliate marketing.

The most common mistakes made by most online marketers :

1) You build a really flashy website and is wondering why your not making commissions.

Well, I do believe this one belongs in the number one position, because, it's the killer amongst new comers to the affiliate marketing game.

Don't believe that if you build it, they will come.Your visitors have to know where your website is, and online as well as offline, you have to do some kind of promotions.

Just don't build it, but go out and educate yourself about what it really takes to make it with affiliate marketing.

The points that follows, will give you ideas for getting yourself known as an expert in your field of expertise.

2) Not Posting And Hanging Out In The Forums.

Do you know that all of the top marketers online can be found in some forum online. Yes, it's true.

The forums are where you can go to post questions pertaining to your problems. It doesn't matter what the topic is, you can find a forum online that meets your needs.

There are huge archives of posted questions from other marketers that you can browse through. The forums are where you can go to post questions pertaining to your problems. It doesn't matter what the topic is, you can find a forum online that meets your needs.

Do you know that one very informative topic on a high traffic forum can generate 500 or more hits that same day?

3) Your Not Promoting Any Big Ticket Items.

Now, don't get me wrong here, I am saying that you should promote both high-end as well as low priced products.

But, the tough part is that you need to sell many more low priced products to make a $100 dollars, while selling just one high end product gets the same results.

4) Thinking That You Don't Need To Know Any SEO Tricks.

SEO - Search Engine Optimization is not as difficult as it seems.I am by no means a search engine expert, but I do know what is needed for optimizing my pages so that I can still benefit from all the FREE Search Engine traffic.

Go out and get yourself a SEO book, you only need one, they are all very similar. You just need to know how to write pages that the search engines loves.

5) Never, Posting Articles To The Articles Directories Online.

When I realized the power of posting articles, I was stunned by the amount of traffic I was receiving fro just one article I posted.

Just start by posting a article per week, you will be generating a constant ever increasing flow of visitors to your websites.

6) Not Building You List And Automating The Follow-Up process.

As the saying goes "The Money Lies In Your List".That is so true, if you can build a small list, you will be able to start making money with a list of just 500 members.

That is why your online business can't survive without a automatic responder. If you can't capture your visitors once they are on your site, then they are gone, lost in cyber space, off to the next web site that can solve their problem.

7) Your Not Involved With A Network Marketing Program Online.

I can hear your cries, but If you followed the 6 points described earlier, you will now finally understand why network marketing goes hand in hand with affiliate marketing.

Most, if not all online marketers use some kind of automatic responder or ad tracker service that has a residual program. That is the way to get some residual income from your list while promoting your ad tracker or automatic responder.

If, your not with an ad tracker or automatic responder service that pays residual income, then your loosing affiliate commissions.

Ask yourself, what can implement now from this article?

I do hope you can be honest with yourself and realize why your not making it with affiliate marketing, now, go out there and build your list. Just do something different.

In the early days before the internet was born, starting a business was like taking a giant leap into the unknown. Aside from the involved time and money, it also causes lots of worry. However, if you are fortunate enough, for sure your business was a success, but then there are many who were doomed to failure. Thanks to the internet because it has evolved and those who failed might have the chance to make it.

Once someone starts his search on the internet for a business on which he would make money, the most probable thing that catches his attention is an affiliate program. Perhaps, it is for the reason that affiliate programs say Free to Join. But though it's free to join, you would still have to upgrade and pay a monthly fee once you are registered.

Its main mission is to refer others who will sign up and create your downline. Only those that upgrades will be of use to you, and once you begin to get commission, your monthly payment should be taken out automatically, leaving you free in building up on your commissions.

But what is an affiliate program? Affiliate program can be defined as internet marketing system where a company allows and helps third party websites, which are called affiliates, they post link and refer clients in return for a pre-determined flat-fee or percentage-based commission. The concept of affiliate program is based on the very old business practice of referral service which is very common in many industries. Like for instance, an attorney gets a certain percent of commission if he refers a client to another lawyer.

Today, affiliate program is considered as one of the most effective ways of online marketing of products and services, second only to direct mail. As a matter of fact, in this year, 21% of all online sales will be generated from affiliate sites promoting an affiliate product, that is according to one marketing research company. One of the most renowned affiliate programs is the Amazon.com, they became successful which encouraged other to follow the suit.

What are the ways or tips to follow to succeed in any affiliate program? Well, there are several aspects or factors involved in building a successful affiliate program. The first and the most important is to make your affiliates your equal partners because they will be doing 90% of the work.

Writing up your affiliate page and making it easier for your affiliates to promote your products will be of great advantage to you as well. If visitors are coming to your site and spending time reading your page, it only means that they like the content of your pages.

It is also important to know your product, never ever advertise for a product or affiliate program that you are not currently with. Don't just start promoting an affiliate program because they offer favorable commission.

Always remember that if you want to make money through selling a product or providing service, make sure that you are using it, you have knowledge about it, to be able to convince your prospects that they should have it. If you yourself do not believe in it, then expect that you will have a hard time convincing anyone else it is valuable.

Another is that when promoting any affiliate program, watch out for traffic leaks. And what is a traffic leak? It refers to something on the merchant's site that causes the visitor that you have referred to their site, get distracted leaving the merchant site, leaving you also with no possibility of receiving any kind of commission. You can also offer a free supply of materials like article, e-books, programs and a whole lot more.

Bear in mind that your success depends a lot on your choices and you work alone. Don't blame the program if you get disappointed about not becoming successful, instead think of it as a lesson. Have a thorough research of what you could be doing better and how you could be making progress every day. There are some who do not pay any cent at all in endorsing services and yet they are still able to succeed. If they can do it, there is no reason why you cannot do it.
